Test the pricing sources, not just the number of carrier rows

MyMGN Marketplace helps frame this LTL TMS requirement. An LTL TMS should make the commercial source and service conditions behind each offer clear.

How to evaluate this requirement

Ask the presenter to distinguish your negotiated carrier agreement, a direct carrier dynamic offer, a shipment-specific spot quote and an offer through a national 3PL. These sources can involve different account permissions, commercial arrangements and booking conditions. Several carriers in a table do not necessarily mean several national 3PL sources.

For a controlled demonstration, use identical packaged dimensions, freight class, total weight, handling units, lane, pickup date and accessorials. Establish the transit requirement first. Then inspect linehaul, fuel, selected services, other disclosed charges, quote expiration and the provider responsible for executing the move. A carrier API connection alone does not establish that direct dynamic pricing is available.

Keep the comparison attached to the shipment

Select an eligible offer and follow it through document creation, pickup coordination and invoice review. Ask the system to preserve its quote reference and original assumptions. Show how changed freight details, a missed appointment or an added service are recorded and reconciled. The demonstration should make clear who owns the resulting exception.

The MyMGN rate-comparison page explicitly describes customer contracts, carrier dynamic offers, spot quotes and multiple national 3PL options. Confirm the actual available providers and lanes for your account.

Compare products on exact scope

Other platforms document overlapping functionality. FreightPOP, for example, describes customer rates, its own rates, marketplace offers and spot management. Use that evidence to ask precise questions of every vendor. It does not establish that the products offer identical source coverage or workflows.
